Many people have been scammed by Nigerian Internet Fraudsters and frankly i really don't feel sorry for these people (victims) because i sincerely don't know why you would believe a Nigerian Prince left you some inheritance I believe every human being should have intellectual pride. If someone lies to me I don't feel betrayed, I feel stupid. This is because I chose to believe the person, there was

no inception of any sorts.

It isn't rocket science to create a website in 2012, Setting up a twitter account couldn't be easier. Thanks to these we now have many sources for transfer rumors I really don't know who their sources are but most importantly I don't care because If Arsenal wants to keep it under wraps its probably for the best.

This is not to say we don't have credible transfer news on twitter but it is just a reminde

r that there are many attention seeking people claiming to have knowledge of things they don't. Frankly, transfer rumors keep most of us going through the Premier league off-season but most times they end at rumors. if not Llorente, Ganso & M'vila should be in our first team training pictures.

The negative aspect is people now take rumors as facts and base their judgements & criticisms on it. Considering the rumor that Yann M'vila is supposed to have signed since after the Westbrom game. Of course this was according to various sources from Twitter. If he later joins another team, Gunners would go crazy and blame Arsenal for snoozing on their Target.

Every Arsenal fan knows its not official until Arsenal.com announces it. So why the rush, does it really change anything apart from the false excitement you get without actually seeing them play. I don't know about you but I think from now on I would rather wait for Arsenal.com or at best sky sports or other more credible sources.

Why I didn’t Sign Hazard

“You should know that each season, it is imperative to show a profit of between fifteen and twenty million pounds,” said Wenger.

“I would add that the purpose of a coach is to always buy at a price he sees fit.

“Hazard has what it takes to play for a top-level club, and Arsenal are a top-level club.” Wenger (Feb. 2012)

Or in Simpler Terms

“I didn’t sign Hazard because
when I could, I stalled,
when I Wanted to, The Board stalled
When I needed to, I couldn’t afford him”

You could replace Hazard with Yaya Toure, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Phil Jones, Mata, C.Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney,  David Villa and many more and you would still be Spot on.

The truth is, when Arsene decides on a player (I.e The player is within Arsenal’s Range) he gets his business done early enough. Notable Examples are Sagna, Eduardo Da Silva, Nasri, Vermaelen, Koscienly, Chamakh, Carl Jerkinson, Gervinho and Podolski.

Arsenal Fans could cry all they want but Arsene and the Board share equal responsibility for our transfer dealings.

If Arsene had signed Phil Jones in January 2011 instead of monitoring him, he would have been an Arsenal player. If Arsene had signed Yaya Toure earlier he wouldn’t have gone to Barca. Sometimes Arsene takes too much time all in the name of “He’s a player we are closely monitoring although there is no movement from us at the moment” we would have a better squad.

At the moment
Arsenal can’t compete with any of the buy cialis online UCL clubs in terms of wages even if we were able to match the quoted Transfer fee. This means we have a very slim chance of signing a player they are also interested in.

Reasons
Arsenal haven’t won a trophy for quite some time
Arsenal have lost the monopoly of “Attractive Football”
Footballers are more Money oriented and Arsenal have stuck to the “Right” principles

So what do we offer?

  • Stability-A long term manager
  • A 60,000 capacity stadium
  • Good Team Atmosphere
  • A Large Fan Base

All a player sees in this offer is Career Advancement. Many would just use Arsenal as a stepping stone. (Adebayor, Hleb, Nasri, Fabregas are perfect examples). Even if we sign E.Hazard he would soon join the growing list.

If we want to sign our First choice Targets & committed players, we would need a new approach to how we conduct our Transfers.

Things have changed, you don’t use a typewriter to post a tweet. Real Madrid has Zizou, he attracted R.Varane & he helps in persuading players to join the club, same with P.Vieira, he assisted Man City with French Recruits, Ex-Arsenal Players & many other. Vieira should be at Arsenal Instead, although we have got enough French Influence in Arsene Wenger,  it could be D. Bergkamp, David Seaman, Robert Pires, Tony Adams, T. Henry (When He Retires). If we can’t compete with Chelsea or Man City’s wages they can’t compete with our number of Legends either

We also need to be more pro active in our Transfer dealings, once a player is identified, Take a Leap of Faith and Conclude the deal. (Not every kid Barca invested in made it to their First team but those that did were worth it)

Every Arsenal Fan knows Mata & Hazard made the right choice choosing London, the only issue is that they are in the wrong club. They should be together at Arsenal not at Chelsea. Now we hope Vertonghen  doesn’t join Bale, Modric & Van dar Vaart at Spurs and Y.M’vila doesn’t join Ricky Alvarez at Inter.

After a brilliant end to the season for Arsenal, clinching a Champions League place and finishing above local London rivals Spurs, it goes without saying that Wenger needs to sign defenders for the new season. Looking at the finished table Arsenal conceded the most goals out of the top 8 clubs, and there were many games in which this could have been prevented with a stronger defence. There were many points in the season we were calling on reserve players to fill in gaps due to an injury hit squad, which is what we can’t do against the quality of other clubs. Despite a strong and improving back four of Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen and Gibbs another player with first team experience would be essential to ensure more results going Arsenal’s way.

This is where the rumours of Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen comes in. He’s a versatile player for the Dutch club and can cover many positions, showing great determination and skill in all of his appearances this season. After following him closely I can see he plays a very similar game to that of Vermaelen, who without a doubt was one of our best signings of the season, the problem with this being is their likeliness to both go on the attack constantly. Vertonghen has announced his desire to play in the Premiership, with Arsenal fighting clubs such as Spurs, Manchester City and Manchester United to pen a deal, it could all come down to financial matters. I believe Wenger should try his hardest to sign Vertonghen, no matter the cost or contract agreements, because he’s a strong player already praising Arsenal for their style of play.

Despite the heavy links of a move to Tottenham, it is still a possibility of signing the Ajax defender and we expect to hear news of his interests in the next few weeks seeing as he is out of contract at the end of their season. Vertonghen could also solve our problem of our defensive/creative midfield troubles as he has adapted well to this position in Ajax’s season. Wenger is famed for his ability to train players to play in other areas of the field, most notably Lauren and this season Francis Coquelin. However one defender will not be enough to ensure we are always able to field a solid back four, so Wenger needs to keep his eyes open for experienced defenders looking for a move, rather than young players who won’t be able to fill the gaps of players such as Sagna or Vermaelen if they were to miss games.

Keep the faith.

Yesterday evening turned out to be quite a successful one after a nail biting 83 minutes at Goodison Park. Having not seen the game I can’t deliver a full detail match report, but from what I gather via match of the day, it was a very solid performance at the back. The Verminator deservedly put us ahead after a dominant performance from the off, a great ball, curled in from a corner, combined with some great movement in the box proved too much for the Everton defence to handle. After that I gather we played at a reasonable tempo for much of the half, scuppering a handful of chances that should have gone in. There was also an Everton goal wrongly disallowed for offside and the officials had a nightmare. In the last 15 minutes Everton woke up and started to come into the game but we held them off until half time.

The half time team talk had clearly revitalised the Everton camp as they held a lot of the ball and made it difficult for us to play our own football after the break. It did sound as if we held on a little towards the end but were denied a clear penalty when Drente hooked Rosicky’s foot away in the box. That’s football though, I think it evens it out after the disallowed goal, but it’s a shame to see such inadequate officiating. Van Persie spoke before the game about how we may have to ‘win ugly’ and we certainly managed that yesterday!

With Tottenham slipping up at home to Stoke, the hard fought win let us overtake our north London rivals, and open up a slender one point gap with nine games to go.

Arsene spoke post game about how he would have preferred it if we had killed the game off by scoring a second, but expressed his happiness with the end result.

“I thought that if we scored the second goal then maybe, we could [have] given a psychological blow to Everton. We had a brilliant start and slowly Everton came back into the game after about 30 minutes, we could feel that in the last 15 minutes of the first-half.

“Second-half, for the most we did hang on, until the last 15 minutes we started to create chances again, but it was all Everton. We were resilient, focused with a great desire to defend and our defence played very well tonight.

What he says about the defence is right, they had an extremely solid match last night and I though Verm and Kos combined very effectively. It is also a massive boost to have two first choice full backs in place, they offer much more of an attacking threat than centre halves. It does pose the question, is Vertonghen necessary? There has been an interesting debate online about the difficulty of keeping four centre halves happy, when all want to play. This will be a very difficult decision for Arsene Wenger to make over the summer.

Aaron Ramsey has spoken about how our desire to beat the Spuds to 3rd place shows in the performances and our current form. He is quoted in the Mail saying:

The results went our way,’ Ramsey told Arsenal Player. ‘We carried on our good form and I hope we can keep it up until the end of the season.

We have proved what we can do and how motivated we are to finish third. We are doing that at the moment, hopefully we can keep going.’

‘It was great. We battled well and it came off. It was always going to be a tough place to come but we dealt with it well.

It is clear that the team show the desire to finish in that important 3rd spot, I think the Arsenal players have smelt blood, and are going in to seize their prey as they march up the table above the Spuds. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your week until we play Villa on Saturday, and enjoy the sweet taste of 3rd in the Premier league.

Till next time
