Newcastle Midfielder Moussa Sissoko has publicly reiterated his desire to move to the Gunners in the January Transfer window, the Frenchman is a box to box midfielder who is considered to be very efficient and skilful in his role.
The 25 year old has previously been linked with mega rich Paris Saint Germain but he has moved to reiterate that Arsenal are the ‘club of his heart’ and he would be more than interested in linking up with his compatriot Arsene Wenger in the transfer window. In the Daily Mail today the Frenchman said the following,
“Arsenal made me dream when I was a youngster. Patrick Vieira was my idol. I saw myself in him,”
“For now, I’m a Newcastle player and I am happy at the club. I want to play in major competitions and I want to do it with this team.”
These quotes follow a similar interview earlier this month where the 25 year old said that he would seriously consider joining Arsenal if Arsene Wenger made the call,
“England remains my priority. If Arsene Wenger calls me? We will have a discussion man to man. Arsenal has always been the club of my heart.”
At this hour it seems unlikely that Arsene is going to make a move for the midfielder, however, with rumour circling about the potential departure of Mathieu Flamini before the deadline you can never be certain.
