Arsenal will benefit from the same squad that faced Man City last weekend plus a huge boost in the return of Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey who has been included in the squad for the weekend match up. It goes without saying how much we have missed his presence since he bowed out with an injury at the end of 2013, and it is a timely return against a team that we really ought to be beating if we want to secure top tier european football for next season. The manager offered some injury news on arsenal.com today and revealed the following,
Aaron and Nacho Monreal are back training with the squad, so that is good news. Hopefully they will be available for Sunday. Diaby is back on the pitches, so that is good news.
The boss also offered updates on the fitness of French centre back Laurent Koscielny,
He is still out. The earliest [he will be back] is next week, the latest is the week after.
Along with German attacker Mesut Özil,
The FA Cup will be too soon for him, but he will hopefully be back soon after that.
Long term absentees aside it is good to have players coming back at this crucial time of the season and even Diaby, a fantastic player on his day, could yet play a pivotal role in our FA Cup run and race for 4th.
Everton have a few injuries of their own which may benefit us, most notably the possibility that Ross Barkley may not be fit to line up on Sunday but the most important thing we must do is concentrate on our own game and try an secure the three points.
