Arsenal have joined a long list of clubs across Europe in scouting you Swedish striker Alexander Isak.
Isak, who is currently plying his trade at Swedish outfit AIK, has had somewhat of a breakout year scoring 11 goals in 26 games as well as earning his first U21 Sweden cap this year. The 17-year-old is reportedly turning heads across the continent and has attracted attention from Chelsea, Manchester United and now Arsenal.
Italian news outfit ‘Calciomercato‘ the Gunners are keen to cast an eye over the youngster being hailed as the ‘new Zlatan Ibrahimovic’. That comparison is high praise indeed and it is believed that the youngster’s talents could provoke a bidding war amongst Europe’s top clubs.
Arsene Wenger will certainly hope that his proven track record for developing youngsters will help in attracting the 17-year-old should the Gunners decide to pursue his talents. Below is a video with some of Isak’s best highlights.
This report comes off the back of rumors that Alexis Sanchez may be more difficult to secure to a long term deal than his fellow teammate Mesut Ozil.
