1 nil to the Arsenal
4I sit here asking myself where do I think Arsenal are going to finish this season? The answer is I don’t actually know.
On one hand we have lost RVP and Song which was the instigation of how Arsenal were evolving last season. To now an Arsenal squad which is completely differnet with three great signings in Cazorla, Podolski and Giroud coming in. You have to ask yourself if Arsenal had sold RVP and Song to then replace them with these three International players, would you have been demanding Wenger spent some cash on the last day of the window?
Wenger said that he had learnt from this time last season, he did so by getting in the players he wanted early without being ripped off. One way to look at it is Wenger signed these three players and Real Madrid signed Modric. Which would you rather? If people knew Wenger had £40 million in the kitty every player Arsenal looked at would have been worth £40 million. RVP despite his ill timed statement agreed with the club to hold a press silence to allow for Arsenal to do these dealings before putting himself on the market.
RVP did his dues last season by helping us get to third and we shouldn’t forget that. Signing for Manchester UTD was not a move that a true boyhood Arsenal fan would have done. He will never been forgiven for this action and instantly made himself more hated than Na$ri. That is for him to live with…
In my eyes UTD are a club in decline. I honestly believe that we will finish above UTD this season. You have to ask yourself, how long can the richest club in the world (in terms of revenue) have to rest there hopes on a 37 year old player? This is not the Manchester UTD which have been dominating the premiership since it creation. Who would want to replace Fergie either when he decides to retire? Trouble is a foot for them.

Arsenal have both Chelsea and Manchester City this month, come out of September unbeaten and Arsenal will be in a position 100% better than we were at this point last season. We look like the Arsenal of the nineties at the back, we have a captain who for once looks like he wont be leaving in the near future. This will breed stability though out the squad! It was only one game but Diaby played against Liverpool like a man possessed, if he can stay fit for the seasonthen who knows? We also have a certain Mr Wilshere to come back before Christmas. Arteta and Cazorla will between them link the play. Then you have Podolski who has the energy and understanding to support his left back. This has to be the influence of Bould and I for one like it. The team has a balance to it like one not seen in the last five years.
Bergkamp and Henry both took over half dozen games to get off the mark, Giroud is not a Berkamp or Henry. He certainly is not a Chamakh either, let’s get this clear right now. The goals will come, he gets in the right places and that is 80% of the battle won.
To conclude, we can achieve success this season if we play the ways of old, I guess for now it will be playing the 1 nil to the Arsenal instead of the free flowing football of the invincible’s. Who would care if we have a trophy in the cabinet at the end of the season at the Emirates?

Nice man, i really think we have the team to get something this season. Would it be a trophy? I don’t know, but we have the team to get one. I expecto Giroud and Podolski to start playing and scoring after so long 10 games, it might sound too much, but they need to find that pace and game they had at their original teams.
Thanks for the comments mate!
As an Arsenal fan I share your hopes for this season, but there are so many games left to play.
When people talk about the best PL team ever most Arsenal fans will say ‘the invinsibles’ but I say it was chelsea 04/05, they had the highest ever points total for a league season (95), the fewest goals conceded during a league season (15), the highest number of Premier League victories in a season (29), the highest number of clean sheets overall in a Premier League season (25). What I’m getting at is great teams have to be built from the back. We’ll have a better idea how good Arsenal are after the city and chelsea games but I feel positive about this season and Arsenal have no reason to fear any team in the world, if the Arsenal can keep it tight at the back we can win anything.
Clap!Clap!Clap!…
The team needs to be in focus, take one game at a time, treat it as if it was the last game with 3 points to make it, make sure the young ones given the opportunity to play with the seniors, be more resilient, intill in them the mantality of being a Gunner, always look in the face of your opponent when playing…I’m sure they’ll do fine if not better.
